Dry eye has a lot of different possible symptoms, although main symptoms include watery eyes, tired eyes, blurry vision, grittiness or burning.
Keratoconus & Ectasia
Conditions where the cornea changes shape, creating a protruding cornea that causes significant visual impairment.
Stevens Johnson Syndrome
Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis sydnrome (TENS) are rare, serious disorders of the skin and mucous membranes that can result in painful eyes.
Sjögren’s Syndrome
Sjögren’s Syndrome is a chronic autoimmune disease in which people’s white blood cells attack their moisture-producing glands. Hallmark symptoms are dry eyes, light sensitivity (photophobia) and dry mouth.

SCLERAL LENSES
A scleral lens is a rigid contact lens that rests on the sclera (the white of the eye) and vaults the cornea so it doesn’t touch it. Scleral lenses are designed to treat a variety of eye conditions that impact the function of the cornea – the most delicate part of your eye, and of your entire body! Years of treatment research show that scleral lenses are beneficial for long-term eye health because there is less compression, lenses aren’t as tight, and they can accommodate many eye issues.
PROSE devices are scleral lenses but with additional customization and medical care.

BostonSight PROSE is a comprehensive medical treatment that restores visual function in patients with complex corneal disease. PROSE treatment uses fully custom prosthetic scleral devices ranging from 14mm to 23mm and utilizes a PROSE-trained optometrist in conjunction with an opthalmologist.
