Kate Weingarten
Kathleen (Kate) Weingarten has been a BostonSight patient since 1994. She joined the BostonSight Board in 2013 where she serves as Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee and as a member of the Finance and Audit Committee, helping to provide strategic direction on the financial health of the organization. She is also a long-time supporter of BostonSight’s fundraising efforts as well as being a regular donor. She believes the quality of care and the professionalism of the BostonSight staff make it an honor to serve.
Kate worked at Martha Driver Associates in New York, NY, where she researched industries and markets. Prior to Martha Driver Associates, Kate worked for TIAA-CREF in the Securities Division, where she was responsible for the investment of 25 percent of her department’s cash flow annually. She has served as Member or Director on many other Boards, assisting organizations with her experience in budget and finance.
She holds an MS in Public and Nonprofit Management Policy from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Finance and Commerce, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Kate has a keen interest in gardening. She is a master gardener through Cornell Cooperative Extension and has a Landscape Design certificate from New York Botanical Garden. She provides volunteer gardening services to Battery Conservancy (2008 – 2014) and Conservatory Garden (2013 – Present) in New York City.
