The PROSE Clinic at North Shore - LIJ Health System is located in the new Ocular Surface Center, which is the only center of its kind in the Long Island area specializing in the treatment of complex ocular surface disorders.

The North Shore - LIJ Ocular Surface Center is a premier center for treating ocular surface disorders and is dedicated to working closely with each patient's medical team to provide the highest degree of clinical outcome success. Led by Anne Steiner, MD, Director of the North Shore - LIJ Ocular Surface Center, their highly skilled specialists evaluate and successfully treat a wide range of ocular surface disorders and conditions.

As they advance toward becoming a Regional Center for Excellence, their multidisciplinary approach to treatment includes cornea specialists, transplant immunologists and nursing care coordinators. This collaboration also entails working closely with other departments involved with patient care such as Rheumatology, Oncology, Allergy, Dermatology and Infectious Disease. Because their staff is able to draw upon these specialty skill sets, as well as reach out to the other care providers, they are able to offer their patients treatments that address the complex nature of ocular conditions and provide the best possible outcomes.
